KUORASJÄRVI MANOR
Manor with over 100 Years of History

The history of Kuorasjärvi Manor dates back to the early 1900s. For 60 years, until 1968, the building housed as Sydänmaa primary school. Since then it has been in a private ownership. Latest owner has been running this place since 2018.

The manor is located in a beautiful location at the southern end of lake Kuorasjärvi in ​​the Heartland of Alavus and operates as a venue for weddings, parties, conferences, training events, staff days and Christmas parties. There are also a few guest rooms in the attic and accommodation also at the lakeside sauna.

Yoga Retreats

The yoga instructor at Kuorasjärvi Manor is the owner of the place, Katariina Kimpimäki.
Katariina’s education is mostly based on hatha yoga. Hatha yoga mainly focuses on the physical exercise of the body through postures (asana), breathing (pranayama) and meditation. It emphasizes body control, balance and mobility.

Accommodation

In the attic of the manor there are four separate guest rooms (of which we rent only one to two rooms at a time), a livingroom, a small kitchenette (a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and kettle) / dining area and a shared toilet / bathroom. You’ll have the whole place to yourself. 

The loft of the manor’s lakeside sauna can accommodate up to four people.
Downstairs has a bathroom with a toilet and two showers and a sauna. There is also a small kitchenette downstairs, equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and kettle.

During the summer (June – August), guests can use the self-service Summer Kitchen on the grounds of the Manor.

We offer cottage accommodation all year round. You can camp in a caravan, tent or even in a hammock. You can rent a traditional wood-fired sauna, an electric sauna, or, with prior reservation, a smoke sauna and a lot. In winter, open-air swimming is also possible by booking in advance.

The Sepänniemi area is pleasant and peaceful. The sandy beach is shallow and safe and the water is clean.
